Dear Future Me,

I think one memory I never want to forget is this random late night drive I went on with my family. It wasn’t planned or anything, we just left the house because it was too hot and nobody felt like sleeping. The streets were basically empty and everything felt really quiet, like the world slowed down for a second. We had the windows down and the air was warm but still felt nice, and some old songs were playing that everyone somehow knew the words to. At one point we just started laughing over something that wasn’t even that funny, but it didn’t matter. I remember thinking in that moment that nothing big or exciting was happening, but it still felt important. Like I didn’t want to rush past it or forget it later. It’s just one of those small moments that made me feel really calm and happy for no reason, and I hope I always remember what that felt like.
