Dear Future Me
A memory that I would love to cherish forever are my memories from my dance competitions. These matter to me because I have learned and grown so much from these experiences. Dancing on stage is always nerve wrecking but it brings me joy at the same time. And I always have such a fun time with my friends and others around me. Sincerely, Josephine

Dear future me,
This is a message from your younger self to never forget the joy of theater and performing. The way your heart beats on opening night, the shaky hands when you get the cast list, and the late nights that are tiring but so so rewarding. Never forget how it lifted a weight off your shoulders and gave you a place to laugh and cry and forget the world while making someone else's world a little better. Remember that theater taught you how to love and be loved by a community that g

Dear future me,
The feeling of winning a debate is that like none other. I have always relished that feeling but to be able to experience it at a Junior Nationals on my debut tournament was a whole other crazy and probably one of the proudest moments of my life. I hope I always remember that feeling, I hope I get to feel it again, I hope I never lose this love, this passion that runs so deep for something I never want to stop doing. I hope other people find it and love it as much as I do Sin

Dear Aae
I miss your presence so much. I miss talking to you over phone for long hours. I am slightly relieved that you wont be asking me when will I get married because I did already, I still have doubts though as if you are asking for a grandchild now from heaven. I feel your presence everyday. I know you are definitely a flower a soft and delicate one with beautiful fragrance, all your life you harvested honey , milk ,baked cooked delicious meals , I am a product of you. You showed

Dear future me,
One memory that's I'd always like to remember for my life is probably going to the park everyday, early morning, with my father during my early childhood. The way I'd walk on the green grass, bare feet and run around. Another one of my favourite memories is the look of hope, happiness and proudness my mom gives me when I do something great. Something she didn't pressurise me to do, and I did it on my own will. The freedom to choose. Having random conversation with my sister,

Dear Basketball team.
One memory I hope will always stay with me is the night my team won our final basketball game of the season. The gym was loud, everyone was exhausted, and the score was close the entire time. When the final buzzer went off and we realized we had won, we all ran onto the court, celebrating together. It wasn’t just about the win, but about everything that led up to that moment, like the long practices, early mornings, and times we almost gave up. This memory matters to who I am

Dear Future Me,
I never want to forget the memory of swimming my first swim meet as a child. I remember being confused where I was when my parents made me step on the outside pool deck. I had only ever had lessons in the indoor pool; everything was new to me. The lane I was sorted in was on the leftmost side of the pool and the furthest lane. Backstroke was the event. I started in the water holding onto the deck, then pushed off when I heard the echo of the buzzer ring out through the air. E

Dear future me,
If you look back 5 years ago and read this letter you wouldn’t believe it. However five years from now you will probably look at this moment and remember that feeling you felt exactly. Going into a new private high school you knew nobody except one basketball friend. When you got to school although you are very social person the first couple of weeks were really hard. You felt like you were being a burden to that one friend, you missed the feeling of knowing everybody at your

Dear anyone who wants to understand,
Dear You, People think memory loss is just forgetting things, like names or where you put your phone. But it feels like more than that. It’s like slowly losing pieces of a story, except the story is your life. Imagine trying to explain who you are, but the details keep slipping away before you can hold onto them. If I could ask for one thing, it would be patience. Don’t rush people. Don’t laugh when they repeat themselves. Those moments might feel small to you, but they can f

Dear Judith and Yohaira,

Dear Anyone,
I hope you remember the summer with our best friend; when we swam for hours until long after the sun set, and my face slightly stung from the sunburn. Sipping my first shirley temple while the warmth of the sunlight illuminated the water. Those sleepovers and late night chats, and the mornings dry from the chlorine. I hope you remember lying in bed gazing at the sky through the ceiling. This memory is a gentle reminder that life is not just about hardships; and the positive m

Dear Future Me,
One memory I hope to keep forever is the first time I ever met my best friend in elementary school as it has changed the way I look at the world today. Prior to meeting them, I was the most antisocial kid and would always eat lunch alone in the corner, but my teacher noticed that there was another kid in her class who recently transferred schools, and was just like me who had not many friends. She asked me one morning if I would hang out with them, and as an obedient student

Dear Anyone,
The first time I met you was through a screen. I didn’t see you in person until I was 12. Every other year, we would fly back, collect red envelopes, and eat dinner together. Back then, it didn’t feel very significant to me. As the years passed, we started visiting more often. I didn’t understand why at the time, but it was because your health was getting worse. When I was 13, your speech began to deteriorate. We would sit with you as you mumbled, your words no longer making

Dear Grandpa,
My grandpa was the most amazing man I have ever known. He passed away a few years ago, shortly after my grandma, and the heartbreak of losing them both is something I will always carry with me. I first realized he had Alzheimer’s in a moment that broke my heart. He had gone out to get groceries and never returned. We searched for him and eventually found him on the side of a freeway, in tears, explaining that he had forgotten how to get home. He never used GPS or maps, and he

Dear future me,
One memory I always want to keep with me are the memories of being with my family as a child. I don't remember many details of my childhood, but I do remember they were full of fun and bliss. I remember my parents working so hard to take care of me and make me feel loved, and I always want to keep that memory with me. Sometimes I think back to that time and it makes me really grateful. It impacts who I am today because it helps me to appreciate the small moments in life and c

Dear younger me,
I wish you could’ve understood sooner that the future is too unpredictable, what was happening wasn’t your fault. Everything may have felt confusing and messed up at first, obviously, you probably felt as if something was wrong or off. Back then, as memories started to change and your experiences got more diversified, you probably wished you were told that it wasn’t something to simply fix alone, that it was perfectly normal to feel scared and unsure. I bet one of the hardest

Dear mom,
Throughout my life, I feel only a few people have made a significant influence on my life, one especially, my mom. I remember one time my mom told me a story of her and me walking down the streets, encountering a homeless man on the way to our destination. Initally, she did not think much about him, but I asked if we could buy him food from the bakery we were going to. Hearing this story shocked me, but it made me realize how lucky I am to have such an empathetic moral figure

Dear Future Me,
I remember a time when life felt chaotic and overwhelming, but even then there were small moments of peace hidden inside it. When everything felt too crazy, you would go to Newport Beach and try to surf, even though you were terrible at it. The waves made things feel clearer in your mind even though you were being violated by them because you were terrible at surfing. Sometimes you would sit and draw small doodles just to slow your thoughts down. Looking back, the waves and s
