Throughout my life, I feel only a few people have made a significant influence on my life, one especially, my mom. I remember one time my mom told me a story of her and me walking down the streets, encountering a homeless man on the way to our destination. Initally, she did not think much about him, but I asked if we could buy him food from the bakery we were going to. Hearing this story shocked me, but it made me realize how lucky I am to have such an empathetic moral figure in my life. Even through her nagging and constant pushes, she shaped me as a person growing up and I am forever grateful for how I am able to find that empathy for people and choose kindness over selfishness because of my mom. I do not believe that kind of thought can appear in a five year-olds mind as they often seek guidance. Lucky for me, my guidance was my mom who is always pushing me to become a better person everyday.
