I remember a time when life felt chaotic and overwhelming, but even then there were small moments of peace hidden inside it. When everything felt too crazy, you would go to Newport Beach and try to surf, even though you were terrible at it. The waves made things feel clearer in your mind even though you were being violated by them because you were terrible at surfing. Sometimes you would sit and draw small doodles just to slow your thoughts down. Looking back, the waves and sketches meant more than you realized. The people you met during that time also taught you empathy and how to understand different perspectives from your own. I hope you remember this as you grow older and can look back without only thinking about the conflict.

Sincerely,

The Goat
